The team mainly conducts research on drilling speed improvement and downhole risk control, wellbore stability technology, drilling and completion fluid technology, leak prevention and lost circulation technology, reservoir protection and reservoir transformation technology, etc. The team has 1 academician of the CAE Member, 4 national level young talents, 6 professors and 25 professional technicians.

Shandong Novaoil Technology Co., Ltd. has large production base and advanced production equipments, capable of producing over 40 kinds of products in the field of drilling fluid treatment agents. There are chemical synthesis room, analysis laboratory, product testing room, oil layer protection research room and drilling fluid research room, equipped with advanced and complete experimental testing instruments, with accurate testing. The company has established an advanced and comprehensive internal control system and quality control system, passed ISO9001 quality management system certification, adhered to the business philosophy of "quality first, user first, reputation first" and advocated the corporate spirit of "innovation driven, professional leadership". The laboratory is equipped with instruments such as infrared spectrometer, thermogravimetric analyzer, scanning electron microscope, dynamic contact angle analyzer, ZETA potential analyzer, drilling fluid lubricity analyzer, high-temperature and high-pressure rheometer, high-temperature and high-pressure plugging instrument and hydrate evaluation device. Equipped with fully automated production lines for PAC (HV/LV) and drill starch products.
